We are a group of Chinese and expatriate volunteers living and working in Nanjing (around 20 active volunteers plus many more supporters). There are two more teams operating in Guangzhou and Chengdu.

After starting in 2003 in Nanjing, Hopeful Hearts created a second team in Chengdu in 2009. In 2012 Hopeful Hearts Guangzhou started.
Across the 3 regional teams, Hopeful Hearts has now supported over 700 cases!
Members of our team visit and interview every family that applies to us for help, to ascertain if, and to what extent we should fund their surgery. In this way we decide exactly how our funds are spent.

我们的医院访问小组对每一个医院推荐的病例都第一时间做实地访问，通过对病童家长的面谈了解情况来决定是否资助，或者给予何种程度的资助。小组提交面谈报告后，由团队商议最终的资助数额。
